Job summary

Asticom Technology Inc is seeking a Statement of Account Reconciliation Specialist to join our Accounting department. This role focuses on maintaining the accuracy of financial records through daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of bank, customer, and supplier accounts against internal ledgers.

You will investigate discrepancies, prepare detailed reconciliation reports, and process journal entries to correct records.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; or equivalent experience.
Experience in accounts reconciliation or similar role, preferably in a corporate/tech environment.
Strong Excel skills including advanced functions and pivot tables.
Experience with ERP and accounting software systems.
Excellent numerical accuracy and analytical ability to spot discrepancies.

Responsibilities

Perform daily, weekly and monthly reconciliations of bank statements, customer accounts and supplier accounts against internal records.
Identify and investigate discrepancies, anomalies and variances with thoroughness and precision.
Prepare detailed reconciliation reports with findings, adjustments and resolutions.
Process and record journal entries to correct discrepancies and ensure accurate records.
Maintain reconciliation documentation and schedules for audit and compliance.
Communicate with banks, customers and suppliers to resolve issues and obtain documentation.
Assist in preparation of financial statements and month-end closing procedures; monitor aging reports.
Perform analytical reviews of accounts to identify trends and issues requiring investigation.
Support general ledger maintenance and account management as required.
