About the Role

We are looking for a versatile and reliable teacher to join Odysee Education’s Academic Team. This position is primarily responsible for covering substitute teaching assignments across different schools and grade levels, particularly for English, Mathematics, and Science classes.

In addition to classroom teaching, the successful candidate will assist the Academic Team with administrative and operational tasks related to academic programs.

This is a 3-month contract position, with the possibility of extension based on management evaluation and performance.

What Would You Do?

Cover substitute teaching assignments for English, Mathematics, and Science classes as needed.

Adapt quickly to different classrooms, grade levels, and school environments.

Deliver engaging and effective lessons following the school’s curriculum and academic standards.

Prepare lesson materials and classroom activities when required.

Maintain classroom management and ensure a positive learning environment.

Record attendance, student participation, and any relevant classroom observations.

Support the Academic Team with administrative tasks, scheduling coordination, documentation, reporting, and other assigned duties.

Carry out other academic-related responsibilities assigned by the Academic Team.

Qualifications

Able to teach English, Mathematics, and Science.

Previous teaching experience is preferred.

Hold an English teaching certification (CELTA, TESL/TESOL, DELTA, TEFL, or equivalent) or demonstrate strong teaching ability.

Comfortable teaching students of different proficiency levels.

Willing to work on a 3-month contract, with the possibility of continuation based on performance and management evaluation.

Willing to undergo a criminal background check.

In good health and free from infectious diseases and substance abuse.

Demonstrates professionalism, punctuality, discipline, appropriate appearance, and effective communication skills.
