The role collaborates with the PH Billing Team and clinical staff to resolve billing issues, maintain accurate patient accounts, and support uninterrupted client care. Strong attention to detail and HIPAA compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma required.
• Experience in ABA or medical billing preferred.
• 1–3 years ABA billing/authorization experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient cost shares and create payment plans for ABA therapy services.
• Collaborate with PH Billing Team on shared patients.
• Support AR collection and denial management processes for timely reimbursement.
• Prepare, review, and submit claims in compliance with payer and regulatory requirements.
• Post payments, adjustments, and denials from payers and patients to the correct accounts.
• Conduct benefits verifications for ABA patients.
• Communicate financial responsibility estimates to families based on insurance quotes.
• Support EMR notes issues with the clinical team for timely resolution.
• Gather ABA medical records for audit requests.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA standards and privacy regulations.
• Demonstrate adherence to ethical billing practices.
