CHINA CONSTRUCTION FRONT GEN. DEVT. CORP. in Laguna is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates for MEPFS on construction projects.
You will analyse project specifications, drawings, and technical documentation to determine material and labour requirements, develop cost databases, and collaborate with engineering, project management, and procurement to ensure accurate budgeting and cost control, tender documents, and cost reports.
Key responsibilities
Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates for MEPFS systems on construction projects
Analyse project specifications, drawings, and technical documentation to determine material and labour requirements
Develop and maintain cost databases and historical data for MEPFS components and systems
Collaborate with engineering, project management, and procurement teams to ensure accurate budgeting and cost control
Prepare tender documents, bills of quantities, and pricing schedules for MEPFS contractors and suppliers
Monitor and track costs throughout project execution, identifying variances and implementing corrective measures
Conduct value engineering assessments to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety
Prepare cost reports and financial forecasts for project stakeholders and management
Liaise with MEPFS consultants, contractors, and suppliers to clarify specifications and resolve pricing queries
Maintain compliance with company standards, industry best practices, and relevant construction regulations
What we're looking for
Graduate of BS Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, or related discipline
Minimum 1-5 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with substantial experience in MEPFS estimating
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety systems and their installation costs
Proficiency in Planswift and cost estimation tools
Excellent analytical and mathematical abilities with meticulous attention to detail
Strong understanding of construction methodologies, project lifecycles, and procurement processes
Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contract documents accurately
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams
Experience working on large-scale construction or infrastructure projects is preferred
