Job summary

Hexagon Shared Services Inc is seeking a Junior Accounting Specialist in the Philippines to support general accounting tasks, month-end close, bank and account reconciliations, and the preparation of financial reports.

You will use SAP/ERP systems and MS Excel to record and monitor transactions, coordinate with Accounting, Credit & Collection, Payables, and other departments, and assist with tax compliance and audit requirements for a 5-month project.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/College degree in Finance/Accounting or related field.
• At least 1 year of working experience in general accounting.
• Knowledge of Philippine Financial Reporting System and related tax laws.
• The position is project-based for 5 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end closing and the preparation of financial reports.
• Prepare and maintain bank, accounts receivable, inventory, EWT, and other account reconciliations.
• Review, encode, check, and post accounting transactions and supporting documents.
• Process and monitor: Accounts payable, Receivables, Collections, Deposits, Disbursements.
• Prepare journal entries and monthly adjusting entries as required.
• Monitor and maintain schedules for advances, fixed assets, and other assigned accounts.
• Coordinate with Accounting, Credit & Collection, Payables, and other departments for account analysis and reconciliation.
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper filing of accounting records and documents.
• Use SAP/ERP systems, MS Excel, and other company systems for recording and monitoring transactions.
• Assist in tax compliance, audit requirements, and other accounting-related activities as assigned.
• Execute ad-hoc reconciliations, reports, and operational tasks requested by the Finance Controller to support departmental operations.
