Job summary

ONE ZONE ASIA PHILIPPINES, INC. is seeking an experienced BIM Revit Lead to head a 7-person team within the BIM Revit/Digital Engineering section of One Zone.

You will deliver BIM Revit/Digital Engineering support to clients on projects across the UK, Middle East, Australasia and USA, overseeing task planning, QA, and progress reporting while ensuring adherence to company standards. • Bachelor level degree in mechanical, electrical, environmental, or sanitary engineering.
• Extensive BIM Revit MEP and Navisworks experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead a 7-person BIM Revit team to deliver projects on time and to QA standards.
• Plan tasks, durations, and interdependencies with management teams.
• Allocate work and monitor progress to meet delivery schedules.

Job description

You will be part of a section of the BIM Revit/Digital Engineering department within One Zone comprising of 2 x Team Leaders and 14 x 3D modelers.

You will lead a team of 7 x 3D modelers

Your team will be responsible for delivering BIM Revit/Digital Engineering support to Clients for projects located throughout the UK, Middle East, Australasia and USA.

• Undertake project assessments in conjunction with the 3D Management team & Engineering team to confirm:
  • 3D tasks & durations,
  • Interdependencies of Engineering inputs and Client information
  • program & works sequencing
  • Delivery Release Schedule
  • Allocate and monitor works to team members,
  • Undertake QA/QC checks of team members work,
  • Monitor progress and quality to ensure delivery dates and quality are achieved,
  • Liaise and communicate internally & externally via email, telephone calls, and video conference where required
  • Perform full implementation of BIM Revit including creation of project templates and project setup

Management & Reporting:

• Assess the workload & resource for the 7-person BIM Revit team, and ensure resource is allocated to complete the works in the required timescales
• Attend weekly/daily resource & progress meetings
• Ensure that the company BIM Revit procedures are implemented, and that QA is being carried out on projects
• Monitor & report on productivity within the 3D team,
• Monitor & report on QA/QC standards and compliance by the 3D team,
• Evaluation of 3D works and tasks in conjunction with the Assistant Digital Engineering Manager and Project Leads,
• Produce Project Progress, Man Hour Usage, Team Performance, and Team Evaluation Reports,
• Assist in the evaluation and training of the 3D and engineering teams in the use of 3D software
• Develop systems to improve the BIM Revit/CAD operator’s technical abilities
• Review software & logistic requirements, and advise management on additional requirements
• Assist the Design Technology Manager to develop inhouse training for all 3D team members employees and cross over staff from the Engineering & 2D teams
• Implement existing BIM Revit/CAD standards and develop new standards as required, to ensure compliance with company Quality Standards and Client requirements
• Provided support to the Managing Director & Senior Management team for fee proposals
• Undertake project performance reviews and identify Lessons Learned
• Support business development activities via Client relationships and production of marketing material from 3D projects.

Job Qualifications

• Qualifications & Experience:
• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Environmental and Sanitary Engineering is preferable.
• Knowledge of MEP / HVAC / Public Health & Drainage systems in buildings is required.
• Autodesk Certified Professional in BIM Revit for Electrical Design or Mechanical Design or be working towards certification.
• At least 5 years of experience with BIM Revit MEP and Naviswork Manage specializing in MEP Engineering or equivalent
• At least 2 years in a Team Leader role
• Excellent written and spoken English language skills.
• Detailed knowledge of MEP/HVAC systems.
• Required essential skills: Advanced knowledge of BIM Revit MEP / AEC, Bentley AECOsim, Navisworks Manage, BIM360, CDE’s.
• Required preferable skills/knowledge: Dynamo Studio, Fabrication CADmep, MagiCAD, SysQue, AutoCAD, AutoCAD Plant 3D, COBie, MEP prefabrication, production of BoQ’s / BoM’s utilizing BIM Revit, etc, knowledge of ISO 19650 & ISO9001:2015

• Willing to learn and input new ideas into the efficiency of the Team.
• A good understanding/usage of written and verbal English is required.
