Job summary

The Medical City in Metro Manila is seeking a skilled Medical Sonography Technologist to prepare patients for 2D echocardiography, explain procedures, position patients, apply gel, and operate ultrasound equipment to obtain clear cardiac images.

You will record patient identification and medical history, measure heart wall thickness and chamber sizes, and produce official results of tests conducted while performing related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient for 2D echo and explains the ultrasound procedure.
• Obtains and records patient identification and medical history.
• Positions patient, applies medical gel and electrodes, and connects equipment.
• Produces high quality imaging by accurately positioning transducers and monitoring display.
• Measures heart wall thickness and chamber sizes to standard norms.
• Produces official results of tests conducted.
• Performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
