Datawords Philippines is recruiting a QA Specialist I for our Makati office to ensure website quality across mobile and desktop platforms. You will work with Paris PMs and local teams to align outputs with project goals.

The role includes manual testing, basic QA automation, bug reporting via JIRA, and daily progress updates. A graduate in IT with 0–1 year experience and good English communication is preferred; hybrid schedule, weekends/holidays possible.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Information Technology or equivalent.
• 0–1 year of experience in QA or internship similar role.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Execute website testing on mobile and desktop.
• Ensure websites meet client specifications and quality standards.
• Provide daily reports and log issues in bug trackers (e.g., JIRA).
• Participate in trainings, daily calls, and team meetings.
• Maintain and update internal trackers and project requirements.
• Communicate with global counterparts and report tool issues.

Reporting to: Senior QA Specialist

Individual contributor

Main Job Function

• Work with Paris Project Managers, Manila and Cebu teams to ensure output alignment with project goals.
• Handle QA production requests with training and Leads supervision.

Responsibilities

• Execution of website testing on mobile phones and desktops
• Ensure the digital presence and functionality of websites match the specifications of the client
• Responsible for providing daily reports to the team
• Reporting and use of bug reporting platforms (example: JIRA)
• Must actively take part in trainings, daily calls, and monthly meetings as set by the team lead or counterparts
• Maintaining and updating internal trackers (ticket status, project requirement)
• Communicating with global counterparts
• Report the issues of the internal production tools

Qualifications

• Graduate of Information Technology and the like
• 0-1 year of experience in a similar role or internship experience
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Has basic knowledge in manual and QA automation
• OK with repetitive tasks (audits/QA)
• Has knowledge of responsive & e-commerce websites
• Mobile and desktop Quality assurance experience
• Basic website design/responsiveness experience
• Good English communication skills (verbal and written)
• Attention to details and commitment to accuracy
• Able to prioritize, balance and organize multiple tasks efficiently
• Good time management skills – Flexible and constructive when responding to changing deadlines and time pressure
• Willing to work on a shifting schedule, weekends, and holidays included
• Able to work in a distributed/remote and collaborative global team environment
• Fast learner

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of issue tracking tools like JIRA Cloud and Confluence
• Knowledge in different QA automation languages
• Basic experience in Looker Studio
• Knowledge in basic SEO testing and tools like OnCrawl and Screaming Frog
• Knowledge using any AI tools
