Job summary

Koblenz is seeking a seasoned professional to lead supplier development, quality, and sourcing across Asia while aligning with our growth, innovation, and new product initiatives. You will evaluate supplier quality, identify sourcing opportunities, and ensure manufacturing readiness for mass production in a global supply chain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in Supplier Development, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Sourcing, or related functions.
• Strong hands-on experience working directly with suppliers and manufacturing plants.
• Knowledge of quality tools and methodologies such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA, 8D, CAPA, ISO/QMS.
• Experience with manufacturing processes, tooling, validations, and product launches.
• Strong negotiation and cost analysis capabilities.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively in multicultural environments.
• Professional working proficiency in English.

Koblenz is looking for a professional with solid experience in supplier development, quality, manufacturing, sourcing, and continuous improvement, who can represent our interests with suppliers located across Asia and directly contribute to our growth, innovation, and new product initiatives.

We are seeking someone who can combine both technical and commercial perspectives: a professional who not only evaluates supplier quality, but who can also identify new sourcing opportunities, develop supplier capabilities, anticipate risks, improve costs, and ensure manufacturing processes are ready to support stable mass production.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in Supplier Development, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Sourcing, or related functions.
• Strong hands-on experience working directly with suppliers and manufacturing plants.

Highly Valued Experience

• Experience working in China or other Asian markets.
• Background in home appliances, consumer electronics, automotive, or durable goods manufacturing.
• Experience in product development and NPI.
• Knowledge of suppliers for metal, plastic, electronic components, tooling, or assembly processes.
• Experience in global sourcing and supplier scouting.
• Mandarin Chinese or other Asian language skills.

Location

Asia: preferably China or another location with direct access to industrial suppliers and manufacturing hubs.
