Senior Logistics Formalities & Customs Specialist

Role Purpose:
This role is responsible for managing all import/export formalities, permits, and licenses, whileoverseeing freight forwarding and customs clearance activities. The position requires extensive hands‑on experience in the Masterlist application and approval process within the upstream oil & gas sector, particularly for development drilling projects and large‑scale EPCI projects.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Lead and manage all import/export formalities, permits, and licenses to ensure full compliance with internal procedures and Indonesian regulations.
- Prepare, review, submit, and track Masterlist applications, ensuring alignment with TKDN/APDN and local content requirements.
- Maximize utilization of duty exemption facilities, including Masterlist customs benefits for company and contractor materials and rented equipment.
- Coordinate directly with government authorities (SKK Migas, Ditjen Migas, Customs, and others) for planning, approvals, reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee end-to-end customs clearance and freight forwarding, ensuring timely, cost‑effective, and compliant movement of project materials.
- Act as the key liaison with all EPCI contractors, consolidating and validating Masterlist data and aligning importation plans with project schedules.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with SCM/Procurement, Project & Engineering, Drilling, Operations, and Finance to align logistics formalities with project needs.
- Maintain complete and accurate import/export documentation, ensuring timely submission of required reports in accordance with SKK Migas guidelines and audit obligations.
- Provide guidance and direction to the Logistics Officer, ensuring daily formalities activities are prioritized and executed effectively.
- Ensure all logistics and formalities operations uphold HSSE standards, promoting safe and compliant practices across all activities.
Qualifications include but are not limited to the following:
Education:
- Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years' experiencein materials management, logistics, and supply chain within the upstream oil & gas industry, preferably in FPSO and offshore projects.
Skills:
- Knowledge
- Good knowledge of oil & gas materials/equipment and offshore logistics operations.
- In-depth understanding of Indonesian import/export regulations, customs formalities, logistics compliance, and related fiscal aspects.
- Soft & Hard Skills
- Proven track record in coordinating and managing the full Masterlist application and approval process for large‑scale EPCI projects and drilling campaigns.
- Expertise in collaborating with major EPCI contractors, suppliers, freight forwarders, and offshore logistics service providers.
- Excellent project planning, coordination, and execution skills in complex, multicultural offshore environments.
- Ability to thrive in multidisciplinary, multicultural teams and manage high‑pressure timelines.
- Languages: Indonesian and fluent English (written and spoken).
