Job summary

FullStack is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer skilled in Laravel, PHP, and Go microservices to join our talent network for remote, project-based work with U.S. clients. You will integrate directly into client teams, scaling backends and delivering CI/CD with high reliability in fast-paced environments.

Requirements include 5+ years in backend software, advanced English, and a four-year college degree. Experience with payments or fraud pipelines is a plus; PT hours alignment is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend software engineering experience.
• Advanced English is required.
• A four-year college degree is required.
• Developed, deployed, and maintained core monolithic backends using Laravel and PHP.
• Extracted monolithic logic and rewritten into Go microservices.
• Experience scaling backend infra for high-traffic launches and high concurrency.
• On-call engineering rotation duties with tight SLAs (e.g., 15 minutes).
• Nice to have: payments, redemptions, or fraud-prevention pipelines.
• Nice to have: frontend/mobile exposure (Next.js/React Native).
• Experience with AI coding assistants is a plus.
• Willingness to work PT hours (Pacific Time) and own outcomes.
• Strong collaborative and ownership mindset.

• You will integrate directly into our client's team and work alongside their existing designers and engineers on a daily basis.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of professional experience in backend software engineering.
• Advanced English is required.
• Successful completion of a four-year college degree is required.
• Has developed, deployed, and maintained core monolithic backends using Laravel and PHP.
• Has extracted monolithic application logic and rewritten it into Go Microservices.
• Has scaled backend infrastructure to handle high-traffic product launches and high-concurrency user loads.
• Has executed on-call engineering rotation duties with strict acknowledgment SLAs (e.g., 15 minutes).
• Familiarity with building or supporting payments, redemptions, or fraud prevention pipelines is a nice to have.
• Previous exposure to frontend or mobile stacks such as Next.js or React Native is a nice to have.
• Experience using AI coding assistants like Claude Code or Cursor in your daily workflow is a nice to have.
• Availability to work standard business hours aligned with the Pacific Time (PT) zone.
• Ability to work through new and difficult issues and contribute to libraries as needed.
• Ability to create and maintain continuous integration and delivery of applications.
• Forensic attention to detail.
• A positive mindset and a can-do attitude.
• Experience working on Agile/Scrum teams.
• Meaningful experience working on large, complex systems.
