Job summary

FullStack is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer Tech Lead to join our talent network and collaborate with U.S. clients on flexible, project-based development work.

You will integrate into client teams, lead architectural decisions, and own backend outcomes for high-scale systems. Ideal candidates bring 6+ years of professional software experience, strong Node.js/TypeScript skills, and a track record in BFF architectures, AWS, MongoDB, and agile delivery.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 2+ years of technical leadership influencing architecture and engineering direction.
• Advanced English is required.
• Successful completion of a four-year college degree is required.
• Expertise in Node.js and TypeScript.
• Track record of architecting Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) systems and robust API middleware for mobile platforms.
• Experience with AWS cloud services (EC2, ECS, Lambda, ElastiCache, S3, CloudFront).
• Strong background in MongoDB and optimizing backend deployment pipelines.
• Experience with Salesforce OCAPI/API, CMS-driven content management, and mobile integrations.
• Strong history of designing and securing scalable microservices and event-driven architectures for high-scale e-commerce systems.
• Comfortable with AI development tools (LangChain or LlamaIndex) and agentic workflows.
• Experience representing engineering teams in client-facing interactions and with external vendors.
• Ability to implement CI/CD and ensure continuous delivery of applications.
• Forensic attention to detail and a proactive, ownership-driven mindset.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum teams and large, complex systems.

Responsibilities

What We're Looking For
