skie.io is seeking a Senior AWS Cloud Architect to lead customer-facing technical relationships and support the presales lifecycle. This role blends deep AWS expertise with strong communication, business empathy, and the ability to translate requirements into secure, scalable cloud solutions.

You will act as a trusted advisor to customers, working with sales, delivery and leadership to design architectures, guide migrations, and contribute to SoWs, estimates and proposals.

Formación

• 8+ years of experience in IT / infrastructure / cloud engineering.
• 5+ years of hands-on AWS experience designing and operating production workloads.
• Strong understanding of AWS Well-Architected Framework.
• Security-first and cost-aware cloud design.
• Experience in customer-facing roles and presales.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple customer engagements.

Responsabilidades

• Act as the primary technical point of contact for assigned customers.
• Design, review, and validate AWS architectures aligned with best practices.
• Guide customers on cost optimization, scalability, security, and reliability.
• Support migrations and cloud-native adoption initiatives.

We are looking for a Senior AWS Cloud Architect to lead customer-facing technical relationships and support the presales lifecycle. This role combines deep AWS architecture expertise with strong communication skills, customer empathy, and the ability to translate business requirements into secure, scalable cloud solutions.

You will act as a trusted advisor to customers, working closely with sales, delivery, and leadership teams to design solutions, influence decisions, and ensure long-term customer success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer & Delivery
• Act as the primary technical point of contact for assigned customers.
• Build and maintain trusted advisor relationships with technical and business stakeholders.
• Design, review, and validate AWS architectures aligned with best practices (Well-Architected Framework)
• Networking (VPC, Transit Gateway, VPN, Direct Connect)
• Compute EC2, Auto Scaling, ECS, EKS, Lambda
• Storage (EBS, S3, EFS, FSx)
• Security & Identity (IAM, Organizations, SCPs, Security Hub)
• Observability & Operations (CloudWatch, logging, monitoring)
• Guide customers on cost optimization, scalability, security, and reliability
• Support migrations, modernization, and cloud-native adoption initiatives
• Participating in discovery calls and technical workshops
• Translating business requirements into technical architectures
• Creating high-level solution designs, diagrams, and proposals
• Contribute to statements of work (SoWs), effort estimations, and technical assumptions
• Partner with sales to articulate value propositions and technical differentiators
• Help position AWS services, partner programs, and best-fit architectures

3. Internal Collaboration

• Mentor junior engineers and architects
• Contribute to internal architecture standards, patterns, and documentation
• Share knowledge through internal sessions and documentation

Required Qualifications:

8+ years of experience in IT / infrastructure / cloud engineering

5+ years of hands-on AWS experience designing and operating production workloads

Strong understanding of:

• - AWS Well-Architected Framework
• - Security-first and cost-aware cloud design
• - Proven experience in customer-facing roles
• - Strong communication and presentation skills (technical and non-technical audiences)
• - Experience supporting or leading presales activities
• - Ability to work independently and manage multiple customer engagements

Nice to Have

• - AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect – Professional preferred)
• - Experience in an AWS Partner / MSP / Consultancy environment
• - Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
• - Multi-account AWS Organizations and governance models
