GlobalLogic Inc. is seeking a Lead QA Automation Engineer in Peru to drive automated testing strategy and technical execution for AI-first software projects with a leading US-based banking partner.

You will define automation standards, mentor the team, and evolve in-sprint automation and AI-assisted testing, delivering robust Playwright solutions and scalable frameworks across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in QA Automation.

• Expert-level in Playwright with TypeScript.
• CI/CD experience with GitHub Repositories and GitHub Actions.
• Proficiency with Jira and modern test management tools.
• Experience using AI-assisted tools to accelerate script generation and debugging.
• Strong cross-functional communication and team enablement skills.

Responsabilités

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of Playwright scripts to automate user stories within the active sprint.
• Implement and optimize AI tools to generate test cases from acceptance criteria and perform root-cause analysis.
• Maintain and scale structured automation frameworks with reusable utilities and fixtures.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines via GitHub Actions for rapid feedback.
• Oversee test metrics, remove bottlenecks, and champion quality and technical excellence.

We are seeking an experienced Lead QA Automation Engineer to drive quality strategy and technical execution for a strategic, AI-First software project in partnership with a leading US-based commercial and retail banking institution.

In this role, you will combine technical expertise with QA leadership—defining automation standards, mentoring the engineering team, driving in-sprint automation, and integrating artificial intelligence tools into daily quality workflows.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 5+ years in QA Automation, including proven experience leading QA initiatives or mentoring technical teams.
• Core Stack: Expert-level proficiency in Playwright using TypeScript.
• Architecture: Solid experience designing and scaling frameworks using the Page Object Model (POM) pattern, custom fixtures, and reusable utility classes.
• CI/CD: Practical experience integrating automated tests with GitHub repositories and GitHub Actions pipelines.
• Test Management: Proficiency with Jira and modern test management tools, preferably AIO Tests.
• AI Tooling: Demonstrated experience using AI-assisted tools to accelerate script generation, enhance debugging, and optimize test coverage.
• Leadership Capabilities: Strong cross-functional communication, decision-making, and team enablement skills.

In-Sprint Automation Execution: Lead the design, development, and maintenance of robust Playwright scripts, ensuring user stories are automated within the active sprint.

AI-Driven Engineering: Implement and optimize AI tools to generate comprehensive test cases directly from acceptance criteria and conduct root-cause failure analysis.

Framework Architecture: Maintain and scale structured automation frameworks, establishing reusable utilities, fixtures, and maintainable design patterns.

CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated test suites into continuous delivery pipelines via GitHub Actions to deliver rapid feedback to dev teams.

Continuous Improvement: Oversee test metrics, eliminate testing bottlenecks, and foster a culture of quality and technical excellence.

Quality Leadership & Strategy: Define the overall QA strategy, establish automation standards, and lead quality engineering efforts across the project lifecycle.

Team Mentorship & Guidance: Mentor and guide QA engineers on best practices in Playwright, TypeScript, clean code principles, and AI-assisted testing tools.

Sprint & Stakeholder Alignment: Partner closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and Development Leads to integrate testing early in the lifecycle and ensure in-sprint automation goals are met.
