Landscape Alliance in Lima, Peru, invites applications for a Projects Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning and Impact Assessment Coordinator. The role focuses on coordinating PMEL systems, monitoring indicators, and evidence generation across CAP4BIO and Transformar para Conservar.

You will lead data collection, analysis and reporting to donors, ensuring data quality, governance and knowledge uptake, with strong emphasis on Indigenous and local communities engagement and learning across partners.

Formación

• MSc or MPhil in Monitoring and Evaluation, Biodiversity Conservation, Social Sciences, Public Policy, International Development, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• At least seven years of relevant professional experience in applied research and development projects in biodiversity conservation, international development, climate, environment.
• Experience with monitoring and indicators, impact assessment, evaluation or results-based management within development projects.
• Experience working with Indigenous Peoples, Afro-descendent peoples and/or other traditional communities; awareness of consent, decision-making and data governance.
• Demonstrated experience in facilitation, coordination, writing and communication for donor-facing products.
• Experience across multiple partners and countries, preferably in Latin America and the Amazon, with diverse stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate PMEL systems for CAP4BIO and Transformar para Conservar, including monitoring framework and evidence repository.
• Track progress against results framework, indicators, milestones and gender targets.
• Coordinate monitoring of IKI Standard Indicators (SI 4, SI 5) with clear definitions and data trails.
• Ensure data disaggregation by country, sex, stakeholder type, and target groups.
• Coordinate PMEL focal points across LANDSCAPE ALLIANCE and partners for timely data submission.
• Provide guidance on verification methods and evidence collection.
• Support donor reporting and compliance with IKI and other funders.
• Lead design and coordination of baseline, mid-term, endline, and outcomes assessment.
• Develop data visuals, dashboards and concise reporting materials.
• Identify risks and participate in core-group meetings and learning events.

1. PMEL system coordination and indicator management

• Set up, maintain and coordinate the CAP4BIO and Transformar para Conservar PMEL systems, including the monitoring framework, indicator protocols, data collection templates, reporting calendar and evidence repository.
  
• Track progress against the projects’ results framework, including outcome and output indicators, milestones, safeguards indicators, gender and inclusion targets, and work package deliverables.
  
• Coordinate monitoring of IKI Standard Indicators, especially SI 4 Capacity People and SI 5 Leveraged Finance, ensuring clear definitions, calculation methods and evidence trails.
  
• Ensure disaggregation of data by country, sex, stakeholder type, institution, sector and target group where relevant, including Indigenous Peoples, local communities, women and youth
  

2. Partner coordination, data quality and evidence management:

• Coordinate PMEL focal points across LANDSCAPE ALLIANCE and projects implementing partners and other relevant partners to ensure timely and consistent data submission.
  
• Provide clear guidance to partners on means of verification, including attendance registers, exit surveys, KIIs, document scans, policy/planning instruments, TAF documentation, platform records and stakeholder feedback.
  
• Engage in culturally responsive evaluation where relevant under the guidance of Q4I, particularly in relation to Transformar para Conservar in the co-creation of community monitoring tools.
  
• Support partners and project teams with practical coaching on indicator interpretation, evidence collection, survey design, interview protocols, qualitative documentation and data protection.
  
• Conduct data quality assurance checks for completeness, consistency, accuracy, plausibility and compliance with indicator definitions before data are used for management or reporting.
  
• Maintain a well-organised digital evidence repository that allows the project team to retrieve supporting documentation for IKI reports, reviews, audits and evaluations.
  

3. IKI reporting, Strategic Objectives and MEL-related donor compliance support

• Support preparation of annual, interim and final reporting to IKI/ZUG, including consolidation of PMEL data, narrative progress inputs, indicator tables and evidence annexes.
  
• Coordinate inputs for IKI Strategic Objectives reporting, including country-specific evidence on NBSAP ambition, enabling environment, institutional set-up, financing instruments and non-governmental stakeholder initiatives.
  
• Work with the Project Management Unit, finance team and technical leads to ensure consistency between work plans, budgets, milestones, Standard Indicator reporting and donor-facing narratives.
  
• Support preparation for the mid-term review, final review and any donor or internal quality assurance processes by compiling background materials and evidence summaries.
  

4. Institutional KPIs and knowledge uptake

• Liaise closely with LANDSCAPE ALLIANCE’s Q4I team to contribute data and analysis relevant to institutional indicators.
  
• Help collect, organise and analyse data on knowledge uptake, use of project outputs, and influence on policies or practices.
  
• Contribute to internal institutional reporting systems that feed into LANDSCAPE ALLIANCE’s performance dashboard.
  

5. Qualitative outcome and impact assessment, evaluation and learning

• In coordination and with support of the Q4I team, and with support and orientation of the PI and managers of the projects: lead the design and coordination of baseline, mid-term, endline and outcome/impact assessment activities, ensuring alignment with the project Theory of Change and results framework.
  
• Adapt to the reality of the projects’ existing qualitative and mixed-methods tools, such as key informant interviews, focus group discussions, outcome harvesting, contribution analysis, process tracing, most significant change, case studies and evidence rubrics, as well as specific priorities such as co-creation and culturally responsive evaluation.
  
• Coordinate analysis of how the projects contribute to NBSAP translation and implementation, inclusive governance, indigenous rights and worldviews, civil society leadership, gender-responsive outcomes, financial instrument uptake and scaling pathways.
  
• Prepare synthesis notes, learning briefs and evaluation inputs, including -as relevant- inputs to the final impact assessment report with findings, lessons and recommendations..
  

6. Adaptive management, portfolio synergies and MEL-communication relations

• Facilitate regular reflection and learning moments with the projects core group, work package leads and country partners so that PMEL findings inform annual work planning and adaptive management.
  
• Develop concise data visualisations, dashboards, summaries and presentations to communicate progress, bottlenecks, risks and emerging results to project management, partners and IKI as needed.
  
• Contribute to synergies across projects related to monitoring, learning and impact positioning.
  
• Contribute to knowledge management and communication products by helping identify credible evidence, learning stories and examples of knowledge uptake and influence.
  

7. Any other task as required

• Identify and mitigate potential risks within your work area, including PMEL risks related to data quality, delayed partner inputs, evidence gaps, safeguards monitoring and reporting deadlines.
  
• Participate in CAP4BIO and Transformar core group, work package, annual review, partner coordination, learning and reporting meetings as required.
  
• Apply appropriate confidentiality, consent and ethical standards when collecting, storing and using qualitative and personal data from project stakeholders.
  

Requirements

• MSc or MPhil in Monitoring and Evaluation, Biodiversity Conservation, Social Sciences, Public Policy, International Development, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  
• At least seven years of relevant professional experience in applied research and development projects in the field of biodiversity conservation, international development, climate, environment, including policy relevant research and development impact analysis.
  
• Experience with monitoring and indicators, impact assessment, evaluation or results-based management within development projects.
  
• Experience working with Indigenous Peoples, Afro-descendent peoples and/or other traditional communities; awareness of relevant sensitivities regarding issues such as consent, decision-making and data governance.
  
• Demonstrated experience in activities related to facilitation, coordination, writing and communication, with the ability to translate complex research and evidence into clear management and donor-facing products.
  
• Demonstrated experience of work in projects across multiple partners and countries, preferably in Latin America and the Amazon region, and involving a wide range of stakeholders (partner organisations, government actors, civil society organisations, Indigenous Peoples and local communities, women’s organisations and youth groups)
