Lycopodium is recruiting a Procurement Officer to join our San Isidro, Peru team. The role covers procurement, purchasing, expediting, cost control, and transport and logistics for the PSG or a specific project.

Reporting to the Procurement & Contracts Manager, you will interact with clients and suppliers, adhere to company procedures, and ensure high service levels, while leveraging your English and Spanish fluency to communicate effectively across teams.

Formación

• Minimum 2 years in purchasing, expediting, transport and logistics in mining, minerals, engineering, or construction industries.
• Projects experience with procurement, expediting, cost control and transport/logistics knowledge.
• Excellent written, electronic and verbal communication.
• High degree of professional ethics.
• Initiative, self-motivation and ability to work without supervision.
• Fully bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsabilidades

• Support the Project Services Group or a specific project in procurement, purchasing, expediting, cost control and transport/logistics.
• Perform dealings with clients, suppliers, manufacturers and freight personnel professionally and efficiently.
• Adhere to project-specific and company procedures, work practices and policies.
• Responsible for expediting and logistics functions as directed by the Procurement & Contracts Manager/Project Manager.

Lycopodium is currently recruiting for a Procurement Officer to join our growing team in San Isidro, Peru.

Reporting to the Procurement and Contracts Manager the Procurement Officer is to provide support to the Project Services Group (PSG) or a specific project, in the areas of procurement, purchasing, expediting, cost control, and transport and logistics.

The tasks you'll perform

• Perform all dealings with clients, suppliers, manufacturers and freight company personnel professionally, ethically and efficiently, to ensure the highest possible service levels.
• Communicate openly, professionally, ethically and efficiently at all times with all internal customers to ensure that the highest customer service level is achieved.
• Adhere to the various project specific and company procedures, work practices, plans, systems and protocols required to work efficiently, and maintain a consistent approach and high standard of work.
• Responsible and accountable for all expediting functions as directed by the Procurement & Contracts Manager and/or Project Manager.
• Responsible and accountable for all logistics functions as directed by the Procurement & Contracts Manager and/or Project Manager.
• Ensure all assigned purchasing processes are followed strictly in accordance with documented and authorised company procedures.
• To be assigned on a Project specific basis, and in accordance with Company policies and guidelines.

The expertise you'll bring

• A minimum of 2 years experience in purchasing, expediting, transport and logistics disciplines in mining, minerals, engineering, or construction industries.
• Projects experience with demonstratable procurement, purchasing, expediting, cost control, and transport and logistics knowledge.
• Excellent communication skills, written, electronic and verbal.
• High degree of professional ethics.
• Initiative, self-motivation and the ability to work without supervision.
• Fully bilingual in English and Spanish
