Lycopodium is recruiting for a Procurement Officer to join our team in San Isidro, Peru. Reporting to the Procurement and Contracts Manager, the role supports the PSG or a specific project in procurement, expediting, cost control, and transport/logistics.

The role requires at least 2 years in mining/engineering/construction procurement, strong ethics, and excellent English/Spanish communication. The team emphasizes career growth and global project exposure.

Formación

• Minimum 2 years experience in purchasing, expediting, transport and logistics in mining, minerals, engineering or construction.
• Projects experience with procurement, expediting, cost control and transport/logistics knowledge.
• Fully bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsabilidades

• Perform dealings with clients, suppliers, manufacturers and freight personnel professionally and efficiently.
• Communicate openly with internal customers to ensure the highest service level.
• Adhere to project procedures, work practices and documented company systems.
• Responsible for expediting functions as directed by the Procurement & Contracts Manager.
• Responsible for logistics functions as directed by the Procurement & Contracts Manager.
• Ensure all purchasing processes follow documented and approved procedures.

Lycopodium is currently recruiting for a Procurement Officer to join our growing team in San Isidro, Peru.

Reporting to the Procurement and Contracts Manager the Procurement Officer is to provide support to the Project Services Group (PSG) or a specific project, in the areas of procurement, purchasing, expediting, cost control, and transport and logistics.

The tasks you'll perform

• Perform all dealings with clients, suppliers, manufacturers and freight company personnel professionally, ethically and efficiently, to ensure the highest possible service levels.
• Communicate openly, professionally, ethically and efficiently at all times with all internal customers to ensure that the highest customer service level is achieved.
• Adhere to the various project specific and company procedures, work practices, plans, systems and protocols required to work efficiently, and maintain a consistent approach and high standard of work.
• Responsible and accountable for all expediting functions as directed by the Procurement & Contracts Manager and/or Project Manager.
• Responsible and accountable for all logistics functions as directed by the Procurement & Contracts Manager and/or Project Manager.
• Ensure all assigned purchasing processes are followed strictly in accordance with documented and authorised company procedures.
• To be assigned on a Project specific basis, and in accordance with Company policies and guidelines.

The expertise you'll bring

• A minimum of 2 years experience in purchasing, expediting, transport and logistics disciplines in mining, minerals, engineering, or construction industries.
• Projects experience with demonstratable procurement, purchasing, expediting, cost control, and transport and logistics knowledge.
• Excellent communication skills, written, electronic and verbal.
• High degree of professional ethics.
• Initiative, self-motivation and the ability to work without supervision.
• Fully bilingual in English and Spanish
