Conservation International in Arlington, Virginia seeks a highly motivated Financial Analyst to support finance and investment initiatives, contribute to compliance, investor and donor relations, portfolio management, and analytics.

The role emphasizes creating dashboards and executive-level presentations, improving processes, and delivering accurate financial analysis to inform strategic funding decisions.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in financial analysis, financial structuring, investment analysis, or related discipline.
  • Strong financial background with demonstrated interest in financial analysis and transaction structuring.
  • Advanced PowerPoint skills to create executive-level presentations and visualizations.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilidades

  • Support compliance monitoring and reporting requirements, including guarantees and donor impact reporting.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of required financial and programmatic documentation.
  • Compile and coordinate materials required for new investor and donor due diligence processes.
  • Support accreditation efforts, including financial documentation related to GEF and GCF NGI accreditation.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of processes, tools, and controls that strengthen compliance and risk management across the Natural Finance Group (NFG).
  • Monitor and support portfolio management activities as needed.
  • Develop dashboards, reporting tools, and performance metrics that drive operational excellence and informed decision-making.
  • Analyze financial and business data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Create high-quality PowerPoint presentations on key strategic finance and risk topics.
  • Support the development of funding proposals and applications that require financial analysis and input.

Position Summary

Conservation International is seeking a highly motivated Financial Analyst to support our finance and investment initiatives. This role will contribute to compliance, investor and donor relations, portfolio management, business analytics, and strategic communications. The ideal candidate combines strong financial analysis skills with exceptional attention to detail, a process improvement mindset, and advanced presentation capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
Compliance & Reporting
  • Support compliance monitoring and reporting requirements, including guarantees and donor impact reporting.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of required financial and programmatic documentation.
Investor & Donor Due Diligence
  • Compile and coordinate materials required for new investor and donor due diligence processes.
  • Support accreditation efforts, including financial documentation related to GEF and GCF Non-Grant Instrument (NGI) accreditation.
Portfolio Management & Risk Support
  • Assist in the development and implementation of processes, tools, and controls that strengthen compliance and risk management across the Natural Finance Group (NFG).
  • Monitor and support portfolio management activities as needed.
Business Metrics & Performance Analytics
  • Develop dashboards, reporting tools, and performance metrics that drive operational excellence and informed decision-making.
  • Analyze financial and business data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Presentations & Funding Application Support
  • Create high-quality PowerPoint presentations on key strategic finance and risk topics.
  • Support the development of funding proposals and applications that require financial analysis and input.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in financial analysis, financial structuring, investment analysis, or a related discipline.
  • Strong financial background with demonstrated interest in financial analysis and transaction structuring.
  • Advanced PowerPoint skills with the ability to create executive-level presentations and visualizations.

Working Conditions
  • Typical office environment based in Arlington, Virginia.
  • Ability to work extended hours when necessary to meet business needs and deadlines.
Compensation, Benefits & Culture

For US based candidates the Salary Range is: $48,400 - $72,500 annually. This range represents Conservation International's good‑faith estimate of the compensation for this position at the time of posting. Final compensation is based on geographic location, job-related skills, qualifications, and relevant experience.
