Caterpillar Inc. invites university students to join as an internship in Lima. You will work with a team across finance and accounting, gain hands-on experience, analyze data, and support reports for business decisions.

The program offers mentorship, exposure to senior leaders, and real projects. Candidates should be pursuing a related degree, have intermediate to advanced English, and an interest in AI concepts and tools. Onsite five days a week.

Role Definition

As an intern at Caterpillar Financial Services Corporation (Cat Financial), you will be assigned to a specific department and given at least one project to work on for the duration of the internship. You will be expected to use your analytical skills and work independently.

You’ll gain professional and personal growth, and you will also have opportunities to interact with senior leaders and other interns through group activities such as social events and leader presentations.

What You Will Do
  • Establish working relationships with a variety of functional areas across the company.
  • Maintain and/or develop reports with minimal instruction and translate data into meaningful information.
  • Analyze financial and/or technical data and market trends as it relates to the business.
  • Contribute strategically and provide recommendations for process enhancements.
What You Have
  • Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  • Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
  • Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
  • Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
Basic Requirements
  • University student in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.
  • Knowledge of finance and accounting.
Top Candidates Will Also Have

Knowledge of AI concepts and tolos.

Note: This position requires the candidate to work onsite five days a week.
