Job summary

INNIO's Microgrid Solutions Team is seeking a motivated intern to support software development and validation. This full-time internship offers an international environment, flexible hours, and access to a top canteen and transport perks in the Alps.

Job description

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic intern to support software development and validation within the Microgrid Solutions Team at INNIO.

Your responsibilities:

• Enhance the software validation environment for INNIO’s Microgrid control system.
• Develop a model library using Python and MATLAB/Simulink.
• Support continuous integration and automated testing capabilities.
• Scope of work can be tailored to align with the candidate’s expertise and interests.

Your qualifications:

• Ongoing Bachelor’s or Master’s studies in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics, or related fields.
• Educational background and passion for software development (Python, MATLAB).
• Basic understanding of and interest in power system control.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of German or the local language is a plus.
• Legal authorization to work in Austria is required.

The internship is a full-time position for at least 6 months starting in January 2027. The base pay is composed of the amount according to the Austrian collective agreement which is at least EUR 2.698,59 gross per month (x 14).
