Bluelight is seeking a skilled backend-focused software engineer to design and develop high-quality applications in a fast-paced environment. You will contribute to challenging projects, collaborating with a cross-functional team to deliver scalable RESTful services and secure multi-tenant solutions.

The role requires 5+ years of backend experience with Node.js/TypeScript, AWS, PostgreSQL/AuroraDB, and React familiarity.

Formación

• 5+ years of professional backend development experience.
• Strong Node.js, TypeScript and JavaScript proficiency.
• Experience building low-latency AWS-based APIs and scalable RESTful services.
• Experience with PostgreSQL/AuroraDB, including Row-Level Security (RLS).
• Ability to design secure multi-tenant environments and write raw SQL with migrations.
• Proficiency in React and end-to-end testing practices.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, AI coding assistants, and full-stack contribution.
• Ability to align with US business hours and ownership mentality.
• Bachelor's degree required.

Requirements

• 5+ years professional software development experience (backend-focused)
• Strong professional experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript
• Experience building low-latency API services in AWS
• Experience building scalable RESTful APIs
• Experience with SDK integrations to other services
• Experience with PostgreSQL/AuroraDB, including Row-Level Security (RLS)
• Experience building secure multi-tenant environments
• Comfortable writing raw SQL and managing schema migrations (e.g., node-postgres, node-pg-migrate)
• Professional experience with React
• Strong testing practices, including integration tests against real databases and failure-mode/fault-injection testing
• Experience working with AI coding assistants as part of daily development
• CI/CD application creation and maintenance skills
• Solid understanding of full stack development, with the ability to contribute to frontend work when needed
• Substantial background working with large, complex systems
• Ability to overlap US business hours
