Mars is seeking a Financial Control & Governance Manager for its RC Factory in Bruck. The role leads reporting, accounting, governance, and internal controls to ensure high-quality financial statements and insights for the factory.

You will interact with the Plant Manager and Supply Finance, benchmarking with other controllership teams within Mars. You will drive policy standards, manage month-end and year-end processes, and support new systems or business models to strengthen RC governance

Qualificações

• University degree or equivalent, preferably in Accounting.
• Strong accounting and finance background with knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls.
• CPA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent certification; SAP or ERP experience a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Quality of accounts: ensure balance sheet and P&L integrity with the Finance team.
• Financial reporting: deliver timely, accurate factory-level financial information and co-lead month-end closing.
• Governance & control: oversee controls framework, monitor KPIs, and drive improvements.
• General: collaborate with non-finance teams and support system/business-model changes.

Job Description:

In this role in the European Supply Finance team, you will be the key reporting, accounting, governance, and internal controls lead for our Royal Canin (RC) Factory in Bruck (BRK) in partnership with the Plant Manager and Supply Finance.

As Financial Control & Governance Manager you will ensure that proper accounting and control processes are in place to support complete, accurate, timely and high-quality financial statements, enabling financial insights for your factory. You will be networking and benchmarking with other Controllership Teams and experts within the Mars organization.

What are we looking for?

• University degree or equivalent, preferably in Accounting
• Solid accounting and finance background with track record of delivering results in financial statement reporting obligations, including an understanding of US GAAP, regulatory requirements, and internal controls
• CPA/CIMA/ACCA or other professional certification as well as SAP or equivalent ERP system experience a plus
• Ability to navigate ambiguity in financial decision‑making, with strong analytical skills to interpret results, a digital‑savvy approach, effective communication, and experience driving policy standards while engaging with senior leadership
• Proficiency in Englishrequired, preferred advanced level of German highly beneficial for local communication

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Quality of Accounts: Ensuring the integrity of balance sheets and P&L through collaboration with our Shared Service Center, resolving complex accounting issues, maintaining relationships with the Finance team, and reviewing regular financial accounts for your factory.
• Financial Reporting: Delivering timely and accurate financial information for your factory, co‑leading monthly closing meetings, conducting structured analyses of financial statements, driving actions from month‑end reporting, and managing year‑end audit processes with internal and external auditors.
• Governance & Control (G&C): Overseeing the implementation of the controls framework and testing plan, collaborating with the Plant Manager and factory team to address gaps, and monitoring G&C KPIs while driving continuous improvements in alignment with the broader RC Governance agenda.
• General: Fostering a collaborative culture between finance and non‑finance teams, championing controls to create a trusted working environment, contributing to the Supply Reporting and Governance agenda, driving RC/RC Controllership projects and transformations, and supporting the implementation of new systems or business models.
