Job summary

MEDLIFE seeks a Content Creator/Audiovisual Assistant to document field projects in Lima or Cusco, Peru (Riobamba, Ecuador optional). You will plan shoots, conduct on-camera interviews, edit content for reels and YouTube, and write scripts, while coordinating with the Marketing team.

A portfolio and English fluency are essential. Role involves field travel, deadline-driven production, and some basic graphic design tasks.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year as Content Creator or audiovisual assistant or trainee.
• Bachelor's or student in Marketing/Communications or related field.
• Location based in Lima or Cusco (Peru) or Riobamba (Ecuador).
• Advanced level English.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Portfolio of video content required.
• Knowledge of basic graphic design and motion graphics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Visit partner communities in Lima or Cusco 1–3 times per week to shoot content (photos, video, interviews).
• Travel to field sites for major projects as needed (1–2 weeks per year).
• Plan shoots with Marketing team: story, shot list, interviews, formats.
• Conduct on-camera interviews with dignity and informed consent.
• Edit field footage into publish-ready content (reels, TikToks, YouTube).
• Write and adapt scripts for promo videos, reels, and interviews.
• Organize and archive footage for easy retrieval by Marketing.
• Publish content on website and social media in coordination with Marketing.
• Support field activities and basic design/logistics as needed.

About the role
You’ll be the person behind the camera where MEDLIFE’s work actually happens: in partner communities, at project sites, and alongside the students and volunteers who join our programs. Working closely with the Marketing team, you’ll capture the stories, people, and projects behind our mission and turn them into photos, videos, and content that shows what MEDLIFE does and why it matters, accurately, respectfully, and in formats our audience actually watches.

What will your day-to-day look like at MEDLIFE?

• Visit partner communities in Lima or Cusco 1–3 times per week to capture photos, video, and interviews of projects, community members, staff, and volunteers.
• Travel to communities and project sites outside Lima or Cusco as needed, including trips of 1–2 weeks per year for major projects.
• Plan each shoot with the Marketing team before going to the field: the story to tell, shot list, interviews, and formats needed.
• Conduct on-camera interviews with community members, staff, and volunteers, obtaining informed consent and portraying every person with dignity.
• Edit field footage into publish-ready content (reels, TikToks, YouTube videos, interviews, and campaign assets) according to required length, format, and creative guidelines.
• Write and adapt scripts for promotional videos, reels, interviews, and other creative formats.
• Organize, label, and archive field footage so the Marketing team can easily find and reuse it.
• Publish and manage content on the website, YouTube, and social media in coordination with Marketing.
• Support field activities, events, and campaigns, and help with basic graphic design and logistics as needed.

What will you bring?

• 1+ year of work experience as a Content Creator/Audiovisual Assistant or trainee.
• Student or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Communications, or related field.
• Location: MUST be based in Lima or Cusco (Peru), or Riobamba (Ecuador). We’re currently hiring for three positions, one in each city. Please indicate which location you’re applying for.
• Advanced level of English.
• Ability to multitask and adhere to deadlines
• Proficient in various video editing tools and other software
• Deep understanding of digital trends and editing principles
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office, marketing computer software, and online applications
• Flexibility to go to MEDLIFE projects in the field.
• Must have a work portfolio (video, reels, TikToks).
• Desired (but not required): knowledge of basic graphic design and motion graphics.
