WhiteBIT invites a seasoned technology leader to oversee EU architecture, security and compliance across our fintech platform. You will drive scalable infrastructure, asset custody APIs, and robust release controls while guiding cross-functional teams.

Travel to Vienna will be required. The role demands 10+ years in engineering, 5+ years in senior leadership, and hands-on capability to review architecture and manage incidents.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering, infra, or cloud environments.
• 5+ years in senior technology leadership roles (CTO, VP Eng, Head of Eng, IT or SRE).
• Strong experience in at least 2 of 3 areas: digital asset custody/KMS/API infra; trading/FinTech infra and APIs; cloud automation/AWS/Kubernetes/multi-region DR.
• Experience with ISO 27001, PCI DSS, SOC 2, DORA or financial-services requirements.
• Hands-on ability to review architecture, lead incidents, challenge decisions, and produce audit-ready docs.
• EU citizenship or valid work authorization and willingness to travel to Vienna.

Responsabilités

• Own EU entity’s technology architecture and establish clear control boundaries between Group services and local infrastructure.
• Oversee digital asset custody, KMS, APIs, Travel Rule integrations, on-chain monitoring, and nodes.
• Maintain ICT asset inventory, patching/vulnerability remediation, and security logging.
• Establish secure SDLC processes, CI/CD security controls, environment separation, and deployment gates.
• Lead major technology incidents, BCM/DR testing, failover exercises, and root-cause analysis.
• Build and lead local Engineering/DevOps/SRE/IT Operations capability and oversee vendors.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, infrastructure, and/or cloud environments.
• 5+ years in hands‑on senior technology leadership roles (CTO, VP Engineering, Head of Engineering, IT or SRE).
• Strong experience in at least 2 of 3 areas: digital asset/custody/KMS/MPC/HSM infrastructure; trading/FinTech infrastructure and APIs; cloud automation/AWS/Kubernetes/multi‑region DR.
• Experience working with structured control or regulatory frameworks such as ISO 27001, PCI DSS, SOC 2, DORA, or financial‑services requirements.
• Hands‑on ability to review architecture, lead major incidents, challenge technical decisions, and produce audit‑ready technical documentation.
• EU citizenship or valid work authorization and willingness to travel regularly to Vienna.

Responsibilities

• Platform Architecture & Boundary Control: Own the EU entity’s technology architecture and establish clear control boundaries between Group services and local infrastructure.
• Custody, Key Management & APIs: Oversee relevant digital asset custody, KMS, APIs, Travel Rule integrations, on‑chain monitoring, and nodes.
• ICT Operations & Asset Management: Maintain the ICT asset inventory, patching/vulnerability remediation, and appropriate technical/security logging.
• SDLC & Release Controls: Establish secure SDLC processes, CI/CD security controls, environment separation, and deployment approval gates.
• Incident Management & BCM/DR: Lead major technology incidents, BCP/DR testing, failover exercises, and technical root‑cause analysis.
• Team & Vendor Management: Build and lead the local Engineering/DevOps/SRE/IT Operations capability and oversee relevant technical vendors.

For this position, a minimum monthly salary in accordance with the Collective Agreement for Employees in Information and Consulting is foreseen. Overpayment in line with market standards, depending on your qualifications and professional experience, is intended.
