Costa Berry International is expanding to Peru, establishing an operation in Ica to evaluate BluGenix blueberry genetics and support Costa's regional program. The role oversees trial execution, agronomic performance and commercial assessments while engaging key industry partners.

Reporting to the General Manager - International Horticulture, you will combine agronomy expertise with commercial acumen to drive Costa's genetics program in the region and support international growth plans.

Formación

• Qualifications in Agronomy, Horticulture, Plant Science or a related discipline.
• Experience with blueberries, perennial horticulture or variety development programs.
• Strong communication skills in Spanish and English are essential.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and standardise trial protocols for new variety assessment across key regions.

What we are looking for:

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced blueberry professional to contribute to Costa's variety evaluation activities in Ica, in Southern Peru. Operating from a 25-hectare evaluation site, you'll oversee trial execution, agronomic performance, commercial assessments and stakeholder engagement while helping generate the insights needed to inform Costa's genetics program in the region.

Reporting to the General Manager - International Horticulture, you'll work closely with internal teams and external partners to evaluate new varieties, generate technical insights, support commercial decision-making and maintain strong working relationships with key industry stakeholders.

Success in this role will come from combining strong technical agronomy and variety evaluation expertise with commercial acumen, relationship management and the ability to operate effectively within a dynamic international environment.

What you'll do:

What you'll bring:

• Qualifications in Agronomy, Horticulture, Plant Science or a related discipline.
• Experience within blueberries, perennial horticulture or variety development programs.
• Strong communication skills in both Spanish and English are essential for this role.
• Strong technical expertise in agronomy, field trials and variety evaluation.
• Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building capability.
• Experience working within Peru or broader South American horticultural industries highly regarded.
