Candidates should have over 8 years of relevant experience, ideally in the region, and strong problem-solving and communication skills in both English and Spanish. Formación

• 8+ years of experience assessing financial institutions.
• Experience in a credit rating agency or banking industry.

Senior Investment Officer Analytics – Private Debt Team

Location: Lima, Peru (Full‑time).

As a member of the regional investment team, you will perform and lead the planning and undertaking of the on‑site due diligence and prepare full investment proposals to assess the feasibility and completion of debt investment opportunities, mostly on financial institutions, in Latam.

This role offers a unique opportunity to make a lasting positive impact in emerging and frontier markets.

Key tasks and responsibilities

• Propose and present investment opportunities to the Credit Committee, meeting the risk appetite and social return of BlueOrchard’s managed Funds for the Latam region.
• Perform desk review and on‑site financial analysis, social impact, and ESG assessment of existing and potential investees (mostly financial institutions).
• Plan, prepare and conduct due diligence visits, perform country and credit risk analysis.
• Mentor, support and work with the local team of investment officers, and contribute to the development of investment/credit analysis processes and tools of the Company.

Required Skills And Experience

• +8 years of relevant experience assessing financial institutions.
• Experience working in a credit rating agency, the banking industry, or in deposit and non‑deposit taking financial entities catering to SMEs and micro entrepreneurs with loans and tailor‑made products like leasing and factoring.
• Ideally at least 5 years of relevant working experience in the region.
• Experience in performing financial due diligences and/or risk assessments on financial institutions.
• Experience with assessing debt investments and conducting detailed credit analysis.
• Experience with assessing social impact and ESG assessments.
• Excellent problem‑solving and presentation skills to effectively manage internal and external communication.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English and Spanish is required; additional language(s) practiced in the region are a plus.
• Bachelor or Master’s degree in finance, business administration, economics, or related field.
• Willingness to live and work in Lima, Peru and to undertake regular travels in the region.
