We are seeking a driven and innovative Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team.

About the Role:

As an Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and supporting automation systems for manufacturing electromechanical components. Your work will focus on automating processes such as inspection, pick and place, and vision systems, alongside programming robotic arms and controllers. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in a variety of projects, from designing new automated processes to improving existing systems to ensure high-quality production standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and optimize automated processes including robotic arms, vision systems, sorting, and pick and place systems.
  • Program and set up robotic arms and controllers.
  • Design, retrofit, and improve automation control systems using PLCs.
  • Automate manual manufacturing processes through innovative tools and techniques.
  • Support and improve existing automated systems for the production of small electromechanical devices.
  • Develop detailed procedures and production operation sheets, revising data sheets, drawings, and specifications as necessary.
  • Assist in training new engineers and production personnel.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including quality assurance, production, purchasing, and sales to ensure the highest standards of product quality.
  • Work closely with the tool room to develop processes and components assembly.
  • Follow best practices in problem-solving, applying analytical skills and engineering methods to solve manufacturing challenges.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, or Industrial Engineering.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in automation, including robot arms, PLCs, vision systems, or other controls.
  • Experience in the manufacturing of precision electromechanical components or similar products is highly desired.
  • Familiarity with miniature resistance welding and plating processes is a plus.
  • Strong engineering and problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently design and implement solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with manufacturing electromechanical components is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to document procedures and communicate clearly with team members and supervisors.
  • Ability to design and create tools and processes that enhance product quality and reliability.

Additional Requirements:

  • Candidates must pass a background check and drug screening as part of the hiring process.
