Job summary

Ayana is seeking an experienced Audio-Visual Operations Lead to oversee hotel ballroom, conference, and event AV systems. You will manage installation, testing, maintenance, and live event support while coordinating with vendors and hotel staff.

The role requires a Diploma/ Degree in AV or related field, 5+ years in AV operations, and strong leadership and bilingual communication. On-site, hotel environment with high-profile events.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing hotel ballroom and event AV systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee AV systems for ballroom, meeting rooms, conferences and banquets.
• Perform preventive maintenance and lifecycle planning of equipment.
• Coordinate with vendors, hotel staff and event teams for smooth setups.
• Test, commission and troubleshoot AV networks during events.
• Manage asset inventory, spare parts and budgetary controls.

Job description

• Diploma 3/4 or College/University Degree in Audio-Visual, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Multimedia, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
• Good command of spoken and written English is preferred.
• Previous experience in a 5-star/4-star hotel, resort, convention center, or similar hospitality environment
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Audio Visual operations, maintenance, event production, or related technical functions, including previous experience in a supervisory or leadership position.
• Previous experience in managing hotel ballroom, meeting room, conference, banquet, and event AV systems is highly preferred.
• Professional audio systems, including mixers, amplifiers, speakers, microphones, DSP, processors, and signal distribution
• Projection systems, LED screens, video walls, displays, digital signage, TVs, and video distribution.
• AV system integration, signal flow, system configuration, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Dante, AV networking, Audio-over-IP, digital AV systems, and related technologies.
• Event production, video conferencing, recording, live streaming, presentation, and lighting systems.
• Preventive maintenance, condition monitoring, asset management, spare parts control, and equipment lifecycle planning.
• Vendor coordination, project management, budgeting, CAPEX planning, procurement, and cost control.
• Electrical safety, grounding, cable management, risk assessment, working-at-height procedures, and safe event installations.
• Strong leadership, communication, coordination, customer service, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
