Job summary

Amaris Consulting | Part of Mantu is seeking a seasoned Data & Solution Architect to design data and technology solutions across applications, databases, integrations and cloud platforms. The role emphasizes translating business needs into architecture decisions and working with Azure services.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with SQL Server, data modelling and API integrations, and will mentor teams while ensuring secure, high-performance data systems.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software engineering, data engineering or architecture.
• 5+ years as Data/ Solution Architect or equivalent.
• Proven SQL Server expertise.
• Experience with both transactional and non-transactional data models.
• Strong data modelling, indexing and transaction management.
• Proficient with C# and Python or close collaboration with teams using them.

Responsibilities

• Support estimation, roadmap and delivery planning.
• Mentor technical teams in architecture and data modelling.
• Contribute to evolving solutions with changing business needs.

We are looking for a Data & Solution Architect to design technology and data solutions across applications, databases, integrations and cloud platforms.

The role will focus on translating business and technical needs into architecture decisions, data models, integration designs and implementation guidelines. The architect will work with technical teams, project managers, business stakeholders and external providers.

This position requires experience with both transactional and non-transactional databases, with Microsoft SQL Server as a mandatory technology.

Main responsibilities

• Define solution and data architecture for technology projects.
• Design transactional and non-transactional database solutions.
• Model data structures, relationships, access patterns and data flows.
• Define Microsoft SQL Server databases, schemas, tables, indexes and transaction boundaries.
• Evaluate when to use relational, document, key-value or other database technologies.
• Design integrations between applications, services, databases and external platforms.
• Define API, event and integration contracts.
• Establish architecture principles, standards and design guidelines.
• Review technical proposals, data models, integration designs and implementation plans.
• Identify risks related to security, performance, data quality, availability and maintainability.
• Work with Azure services to design cloud-based application and data solutions.
• Collaborate with Technical Leads, developers, project managers, analysts and client stakeholders.
• Document architecture decisions, assumptions, constraints and trade-offs.
• Support technical estimation, roadmap development and delivery planning.
• Participate in quality reviews, architecture assessments and technical governance.
• Mentor technical teams in architecture, data modelling and integration practices.
• Contribute to the evolution of solutions as business requirements and technology constraints change.

Mandatory requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, solution architecture or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of experience as a Data Architect, Solution Architect, Software Architect, Technical Lead or equivalent.
• Proven experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience designing both transactional and non-transactional database solutions.
• Experience with data modelling, database design, indexing and transaction management.
• Experience with C# and Python or the ability to work closely with teams using these languages.
• Experience with Azure services and cloud-based solution design.
• Knowledge of software architecture and design patterns.
• Experience designing APIs, integrations or event-based communication.
• Experience working with Git and GitLab.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and technology project delivery.
• Experience with quality practices, technical reviews and architecture documentation.
• Ability to communicate architecture decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Availability to work on-site 4 days per week in San Borja and/or Callao.

Nice-to-have experience

• Experience with Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Event Hubs or other Azure data services.
• Experience with data warehouses, data lakes or analytical platforms.
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cosmos DB or Redis.
• Experience with data governance, data security and data quality.
• Experience with React or Angular-based applications.
• Experience with microservices, modular monoliths or distributed systems.
• Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging platforms.
• Experience leading technical teams or coordinating multiple engineering teams.
• Certification in cloud architecture, data architecture, Agile methodologies or project management.
• Previous experience as a Project Manager, Solution Lead or Technical Project Lead.
