AAR is seeking a qualified WASS MAINTENANCE specialist in Peru-Pucallpa to inspect, test, adjust and repair avionics equipment. You will work from blueprints and service manuals, calibrate instruments, and accompany flight crews for in-flight adjustments to ensure airworthiness.

The role requires extensive hands-on experience with avionics, a valid FFCC or FAA license, and a U.S. security clearance. Oconus Spanish and 60 experience are preferred and a comprehensive benefits package is provided.

Formación

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of a 2 year electronics-avionics technical school or equivalent military experience.
• FFCC License with Element 3 or FAA A and P License.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in aircraft installation, inspection, maintenance and repair.
• Experience with blueprints, diagrams, specifications, service manuals and other data.
• CMF 15 aviation MOS or equivalent.
• U.S. Department of State Security clearance.
• H-60 experience.
• Oconus: Level 2 Spanish.

Responsabilidades

• Inspect avionics components for defects and proper installation.

• Repair/replace defective components based on test results and manuals.
• Calibrate installed or repaired equipment to specifications.
• Accompany flight crew for in-flight adjustments and post-flight repairs.
• Comply with FAR 91.411 and 91.413 inspections.
• Operate ground station for air-to-station checks.
• Fabricate wiring harnesses and implement upgrades.
• Provide Training and oversight of Host Nation avionics mechanics.
• Assist with development of on-the-job training modules.
• Follow DoD manuals and SOPs.

Role Description

Responsible for inspecting, testing, adjusting, and repairing avionics equipment, such as radar, radio, pulse, navigation, auto pilot and compass systems, installed in aircraft, using hand tools and test equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect components of avionics equipment for defects, such as loose connections and frayed wire, and for accuracy of assembly and installation.
• Test avionics equipment under simulated or actual operating conditions to determine performance and airworthiness, using test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, digital meters and counters, and circuit analyzers.
• Adjust, repair, or replace defective components based on analysis of test results, following blueprints, schematics, handbooks, and other technical documents, using hand tools.
• Calibrates installed or repaired equipment to prescribed specifications.
• Accompany flight crew to perform in-flight adjustments and to determine and record required post-flight repair work.
• Complies with FAR required maintenance such as 91.411 and 91.413 inspections.
• Operate ground station for air-to-station check of radar or other equipment.
• Fabricate wiring harnesses. - Complies with Avionics upgrades and modifications.
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization policies and applicable laws.
• Provide Host Nation training and oversight of avionics mechanics in support of performing maintenance on aircraft and their associated engines and sub-systems to ensure airworthiness.
• Provide oversight and training for maintenance contractors if required.
• Assist with the development of a HN mechanic training program and the creation of targeted On the Job, OJT, training modules to address capability deficiencies when identified.
• Comply with technical data as outlined in US army Manual 95-1 and DA-DOS PAM 738-750-751 or U.S. Air Force Technical Order and DoS supplements and SOPs.

Required

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of a 2 year electronics-avionics technical school or equivalent military experience.
• FFCC License w with Element 3 or FAA A and P License.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in aircraft installation, inspection, maintenance and repair required.
• Must have experience with working from blueprint drawings, diagram, specifications, service manuals, sketches, templates and other incomplete data.
• CMF 15 aviation MOS series or another military-commercial equivalent.
• Position requires a U.S. Department of State Security clearance.
• H-60 experience.

Oconus

• Ability to pass physical.
• Level 2 Spanish.

Preferred

• Current Radiotelephone License issued by the Federal Communications Commission, FCC.
