AAR Corp. is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic 3 Lead in a LATAM location to maintain aircraft and engines, ensuring airworthiness through inspections, repairs, and system servicing.

The role requires an FAA mechanic certificate with both Airframe and Powerplant ratings and extensive maintenance experience, including a willingness to travel and relocate. Formación

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Must have current FAA issued Mechanic certificate with both Airframe and Powerplant ratings.
  • Spanish Level II Language - LATAM location.
  • CMF 15 aviation MOS or equivalent.
  • At least 10 years direct aircraft maintenance experience on B1900.
  • A&P license held for at least 6 months in previous 24 months.
  • Willingness to travel 5–20% and relocate.
  • Experience reading blueprints, diagrams, specs, service manuals.

Responsabilidades

  • Repair, replace, and rebuild aircraft structural components.
  • Inspect engines and associated components for airworthiness.

The Worldwide Aviation Support Services (WASS) program, an AAR business, headquartered in Rockledge, FL, provides global, world-class expeditionary and conventional aviation solutions to the US Department of State Air Wing.

Role Description:

Maintaining of aircraft and their associated engines and sub-systems to ensure scheduled and unscheduled maintenance is completed and aircraft airworthiness.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Repairs, replaces, and rebuilds aircraft structural components such as cowlings and functional components including rigging, surface controls, and plumbing and hydraulic units.
  • Inspects engines and associated components for airworthiness.
  • Removes and installs engines, props or rotor blades, transmissions, flight controls and other aircraft components.
  • Read and interpret original equipment manufacturer and program maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other related documentation to determine feasibility and method of altering or repairing the aircraft and its associated components.
  • Determines the airworthiness of the aircraft and its associated components.
  • Troubleshoots, repairs, and replaces electrical wiring and associated components.
  • Performs miscellaneous duties to service aircraft, including hydraulic system servicing, engine oil replenishment, aircraft systems lubrication, aircraft fueling, etc.
  • Interacts with Company maintenance control, the customer and manufacturer in matters that concern the airworthiness of the aircraft, operational readiness of the aircraft and issues related to the troubleshooting of the aircrafts system.
  • Knowledge of U.S. Army Maintenance Documentation System, i.e 738-751 DoS Pam Gen 1, 328-23.
  • Required to complete maintenance documentation in compliance with all applicable program procedures. Required to make entries electronically through the program MIS.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Must have current FAA issued Mechanic certificate with both Airframe and Powerplant ratings.
  • Spanish Level II Language - specific to LATAM location.
  • CMF 15 aviation MOS series or another military or commercial equivalent.
  • Must have prior experience maintaining specific assigned aircraft.
  • Must have at least 10 years direct experience in aircraft maintenance, civilian or military on the B1900 aircraft .
  • Must have exercised the privilege of their A and P License for a minimum of 6 months of the previous 24 months.
  • Must have experience with working from blueprint drawings, diagram, specifications, service manuals, sketches, templates, and other incomplete data.
  • 5-20% travel may be required.
  • Must be willing to relocate.
  • Ability to pass physical screening.
  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain passport.
Preferred:
  • Experience working on the following airframes is highly preferred B1900, C208, UH-1, and H-60, UH-60A UH-60L specific to the location.
  • Strong Electrical and Avionics background a plus.
