Job summary

Blacksmith Agency LLC is hiring an AI Developer to own and ship our internal automation roadmap. This builder role focuses on production systems atop AI models, not model training.

You will work with engineering and leadership to turn a documented automation roadmap into shipped, working systems. We value hands-on experience with LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen or similar agent frameworks, plus proven OpenAI or Anthropic API integrations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years building production software with Python or Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen or similar agent frameworks.
• Proven API integration work with OpenAI or Anthropic (function calling, tool use, streaming).
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, webhooks and basic cloud deployment.
• English sufficient for async written work with a US-based team.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship automation workflows atop LLMs.
• Develop agent-based workflows using LangChain, LangGraph or equivalent frameworks.
• Implement integrations with OpenAI/Anthropic APIs including function calling and tool use.
• Create internal tools to reduce manual hours in design and development processes.
• Connect external tools and services (WordPress, Figma, Google Workspace, CMS) as needed.

About The Role

Blacksmith Agency is building an AI automation layer into every part of how we work. As AI Developer at Blacksmith, you own and ship our internal automation roadmap. This is a builder role, not a research role. You will not be training models, you will be building production systems on top of them. You work directly with engineering and delivery leadership to take a documented roadmap of automation workflows and turn them into shipped, working systems. This role is for someone who has already built things with LLMs and can show it.

What You Will Build

• Agentic workflows using LangChain, LangGraph or equivalent frameworks.


• Integrations with Anthropic and OpenAI APIs including tool use and function calling.


• Internal tools that reduce manual hours across our design and development production process.


• Automation pipelines connecting WordPress, Figma, Google Workspace and our internal CMS.


• MCP server integrations as part of our broader AI stack.

What You Bring
