Job summary

Tata Projects in Oman onshore fabrication yard seeks Welding Inspectors - CBT with 5–10 years of welding inspection experience and certifications (CSWIP 3.1 / AWS-CWI). The role requires CBT certification and familiarity with international welding codes.

You will coordinate NDT activities, review reports, and ensure compliance with AWS D1.1, ASME IX, and ISO standards while maintaining strict quality and project timelines. Immediate availability is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years in welding inspection.
• Experience in Third Party Inspection (TPI) assignments.

Responsibilities

• NDT coordination witness and validate NDT activities (RT/UT/MT/PT).
• Review NDT reports and ensure acceptance criteria compliance.
• Documentation and reporting: QA/QC docs, welding procedures, WPS, PQR, inspection reports, material traceability records; prepare daily/weekly inspection reports and submit to client/TPI agency.
• Identify and report non-conformances (NCRs) and follow up on corrective actions.
• Compliance and standards: AWS D1.1, ASME IX, ISO standards; verify material identification and traceability.
• Stakeholder coordination: interface with contractor QA/QC, client reps, and project team; provide technical clarification and inspection feedback.

Key Responsibilities

• CSWIP 3.1 / AWS-CWI or equivalent (Mandatory).
• CBT Certification (as per client/project requirements).
• Knowledge of international codes and offshore fabrication standards.
• 5-10 years in welding inspection.
• Mandatory experience in Third Party Inspection (TPI) assignments.
• Having Experience in offshore structures (jackets, topsides, modules) fabricated in onshore yards is added advantage.
• Willing to work in onshore yard environments.
• Ability to work under strict timelines and quality requirements.
• Immediate availability preferred.
