Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Vehicle Inspector to ensure maintenance meets the highest standards. You will perform daily quality control on repairs, follow USAF TOs and PWS guidelines, and ensure compliance with Amentum's QMS.

The role includes training new mechanics, documenting inspections, and working in a maintenance shop or outdoor setting as required. Ideal candidates have a HS diploma plus several years in vehicle repair and in quality control, with the ability to travel domestically and

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak English at an intermediate level.
• High School diploma or equivalent required; 4+ years in vehicle repair.
• At least 2 years in a quality control role and ability to mentor others.
• Ability to obtain host nation driver's license; travel as needed.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors when required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicle repairs to ensure Quality Control is maintained.
• Monitor work quality and document rejected repairs.
• Inform Chief Mechanic of deficiencies noted.
• Conduct Limited Technical Inspections and determine repair needs.
• Assist with on‑the‑job training and certify mechanics.
• Assist with repairs, parts, and system realignment.
• Ensure safety, PPE, and housekeeping guidelines are followed.
