Job summary

Hudson Manpower Inc. is hiring a UT Technician for an urgent Oil & Gas project in Sohar, Oman. You will perform ultrasonic testing on offshore structures and piping, verify results, and support inspection of welds in a major fabrication yard.

Reporting to the site QA team, you will operate to PCN UT standards with immediate mobilization preferred and a 15-day report window. Transport, accommodation and meals are provided by the client.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of Ultrasonic Testing experience, including offshore structures and piping.
• Proven ability to inspect Butt Welds and TKY joints.
• Strong knowledge of API RP 2X and UT inspection standards.

Job description

We are currently hiring experienced UT Technicians for an urgent Oil & Gas project at a fabrication yard in Sohar, Oman.

This is a long-term opportunity with an initial contract duration of 3 years, extendable, and candidates available for immediate or short-notice mobilization are strongly preferred.

Job Details

• Position: UT Technician

• Location: Sohar, Oman

• Project Duration: 3 years, extendable

• Working Hours: 10 hours per day, 6 days per week

• Leave / R&R: 15 days leave after every 6 months

• Food: Provided by client

• Accommodation: Provided by client

• Transportation: Provided by client

• Mobilization: Immediate / Short Notice preferred; candidates should be able to report within 15 days

• Nationality: Open to all nationalities

• English: Basic English communication is required

Mandatory Requirements

Candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Valid PCN UT certifications – 3.1, 3.2, 3.8 & 3.9

• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in Ultrasonic Testing

• Strong hands‑on experience in UT inspection of Oil & Gas offshore structures and piping

• Proven experience in inspection of Butt Welds and T/K/Y Joints

• Strong knowledge and practical experience in API RP 2X

• Ability to independently perform cross‑checking and verification of UT examination results

• Experience working in major fabrication yards, offshore construction projects, or Oil & Gas fabrication facilities

Preferred Qualifications / Experience

Preference will be given to candidates possessing:

• Valid QatarEnergy UT Qualification Card

• Valid Aramco UT Qualification Card

• TKY Joint UT Inspection qualification / approval / qualification card

• Previous experience with major Oil & Gas fabrication yards or offshore construction projects
