Job summary

Electrical Industries Company is seeking engineers to perform electrical tests on transformers and related equipment in Oman. You will conduct type and routine tests for transformers, substations, and LV panels, while maintaining and enhancing the test facility and equipment.

The role also involves reviewing non-conformance reports, planning calibration, and validating instruments. You will prepare test certificates and reports, and supervise customer witness inspections during testing, along

Qualifications

• Experience conducting electrical tests on transformers and related equipment.
• Familiarity with IEC and ANSI standards for electrical testing.
• Ability to maintain and calibrate test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct electrical tests on transformers per IEC and ANSI standards.
• Perform type and routine tests on transformers, substations, and LV panels.
• Maintain and upgrade test facility and equipment.
• Review non-conformance reports and analyze failures observed during testing.
• Plan instrument calibration and validate measuring instruments.
• Prepare routine test certificates and test reports; supervise customer witness inspections.
• Provide after-sales support, including site visits for troubleshooting under warranty.

Job description

Plan to conduct electrical (routine) tests on Transformers complying to international standards (IEC & ANSI)

Conduct type test and special tests on transformers, substations & LV Panels.

Maintaining existing test set-up to enhance test facility and capacity.

Review of non-conformance reports and analysis of failure / fault observes during testing.

Planning test facility, instrument calibration, and validation of all measuring instruments.

Preparation / issuance of routine test certificates, type/special test reports and inspection & test plants (ITP)

Supervise customer witness inspections for complying their requipments.

Enhance after-sales services/under warranty services/site visits for trouble shooting.
