About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic Training & Instructional Design Specialist to join our fast-paced hypermarket operations in Jeddah. Reporting directly to the Training Manager, this role is actively split between hands-on training delivery (60%) and instructional design (40%). You will be instrumental in upskilling our diverse retail workforce, developing localized training modules, and ensuring our customer service and floor operational standards remain top-tier.
Key Responsibilities
Training Delivery & Facilitation (60%)
- Conduct engaging onboarding, product knowledge, and customer service training for hypermarket floor staff, merchandisers, and cashiers.
- Deliver training sessions seamlessly across English, Arabic, Urdu, and Hindi to ensure maximum comprehension among a diverse multinational team.
- Spend time directly on the shop floor to provide on-the-job coaching, monitor compliance with retail standards, and evaluate training effectiveness.
- Manage training schedules, track attendance, and gather feedback to measure the impact of learning initiatives.
Instructional Design & Content Development (40%)
- Design, develop, and update accessible training materials, including quick-reference guides, operational job aids, and interactive micro-learning modules.
- Translate and localize complex retail procedures into simple, highly visual multi-lingual content (Arabic/Urdu/Hindi).
- Collaborate with category managers and store leadership to identify skill gaps and design targeted learning interventions.
Who Can Apply (Requirements)
- Experience: 2 to 3 years of proven experience in training delivery and content creation.
- Industry Background: Direct experience in the retail, supermarket, or hypermarket sector is mandatory.
- Technical Skills: Proven proficiency in Articulate (Storyline 360/Rise), Adobe (Creative Cloud/Captivate), and Microsoft Office.
- Language Skills: Exceptional fluency in Arabic, Urdu, and Hindi (both spoken and written). Working knowledge of English is highly preferred for utilizing global design tools.
- Availability: Must be available to join immediately.
- Skills: Familiarity with basic instructional design principles (ADDIE/SAM), presentation software, and adult learning concepts. Comfortable being highly visible and active on the retail floor.
