Job summary

Yokogawa is seeking a trainee-style technician to support Control System Panel Integration and Pre-FAT/FAT activities. You will assist with wiring, loop testing, system staging and basic configuration under engineer guidance.

You will also help with material handling, stores, and project documentation while following HSE procedures and quality standards. Fluency in English and Arabic is expected.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical, Automation or related field.
• Basic understanding of industrial automation and control systems.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Support System Panel Integration activities, including wiring and inspection.
• Assist with Pre-FAT and FAT activities, including loop testing.
• Support system staging, hardware preparation, and basic configuration.
• Assist Engineers during site installation, commissioning and troubleshooting.
• Maintain proper store organization and inventory records.
• Prepare basic testing records and project documentation.
• Follow HSE requirements and quality standards.
• Coordinate with Engineers to meet project schedules.
• Participate in structured technical training to develop skills.

Job Purpose

The role involves structured technical training while actively supporting Control System Panel Integration and Pre-FAT/FAT activities, including wiring, loop testing, system staging, material handling, store management, and site commissioning support under the guidance of Engineers.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

• Support System Panel Integration activities, including panel wiring, termination, and inspection.
• Assist with Pre-FAT and FAT activities, including loop testing and functional checks.
• Support system staging, hardware preparation, and basic system configuration activities.
• Assist Engineers during site installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.
• Perform material handling, identification, and tracking for project requirements.
• Maintain proper store organization, material records, and inventory control.
• Prepare and maintain basic testing records, checklists, and project documentation.
• Follow approved engineering procedures, HSE requirements, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with Engineers and project team members to complete assigned activities within the required schedule.
• Participate in structured technical training and progressively develop the skills required for independent system technician responsibilities.

Qualification And Experience

• Diploma in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical, Automation, or a related field.

Competencies

• Basic knowledge of industrial automation, control systems, and instrumentation.
• Basic understanding of electrical wiring, termination, and loop testing.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical documents.
• Good teamwork, communication, and coordination skills.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and develop technical skills.
• Ability to follow HSE procedures, work instructions, and quality requirements.
• Willingness to work in workshops and customer site environments, including commissioning activities.

Skills

• Good verbal and written communication in English and Arabic
