Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Oman seeks a Project Director to lead multi-disciplinary teams delivering major bridges and transportation packages in line with client objectives, budget, and schedule.

You will drive governance, manage interfaces across engineering, construction, and operations, ensure HSE excellence, and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships while delivering profitable project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 20 years of experience in major infrastructure and transportation projects.
• Minimum 10 years in senior leadership or project director-level roles.
• Experience with projects valued over USD 500 million.
• Leadership of multidisciplinary teams in consultancy, PMC, EPCM, or client organisations.
• Experience in Saudi Arabia and GCC infrastructure projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and overall project management.
• Establish objectives and delivery plans aligned with client requirements.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams across engineering, construction, and controls.
• Maintain project governance throughout the lifecycle.
• Drive safety, quality, schedule, budget, and client satisfaction.
• Foster high-performance culture with accountability and delivery excellence.
• Direct planning and completion of major bridge and transportation works.
• Manage interfaces between bridges, highways, utilities, and systems.
• Lead executive client meetings and governance reviews.
• Oversee commercial performance and contractual obligations.
• Monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial performance.
• Support negotiations of major contractual issues.
• Ensure realistic schedules and monitor milestones.
• Provide strategic direction on engineering decisions.
• Lead risk management and mitigation planning.
• Champion HSE, quality and environmental leadership.
• Build and mentor a high-performing project team.
• Provide dashboards and reporting to senior management.
