Job summary

TradesApp in Muscat is seeking an experienced Soft Landscape Supervisor to lead onsite softscape delivery and day-to-day maintenance across landscaped areas. You will plan crews, supervise planting, turfing, pruning, and irrigation coordination to keep sites healthy and presentable.

You will oversee productivity, safety and quality, translate work plans into daily outputs, and maintain accurate records while guiding teams to meet high standards across multiple tasks.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in soft landscaping or landscape maintenance.
• Experience supervising landscaping teams onsite and allocating labour.
• Hands-on irrigation coordination and fault reporting.
• Ability to read landscape drawings or planting schedules.
• Knowledge of irrigation components and basic horticulture practices.
• Experience training operatives in safe tool use and practices.
• Ability to produce simple progress and resource reports using MS Office.

About the Role

Our client is hiring a Soft landscape supervisor to lead onsite softscape delivery and day to day maintenance across landscaped areas in Muscat. You will plan and supervise crews carrying out planting, turf works, pruning and general horticultural upkeep, while coordinating irrigation activities to keep sites healthy and presentable. This role suits someone who can translate a work plan into clear daily outputs, maintain standards across multiple tasks, and keep productivity, safety and quality under control.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise soft landscaping crews onsite, allocating labour and equipment to meet daily work plans.

• Plan and oversee planting works for trees, shrubs and groundcover, including soil preparation and aftercare.

• Manage turf installation and ongoing turf maintenance, including mowing schedules, edging, top dressing and repairs.

• Carry out and direct pruning programmes for trees and shrubs, maintaining plant health, shape and clearance needs.

• Inspect landscaped areas daily, identify defects or plant stress early, and organise corrective actions promptly.

• Coordinate irrigation activities with relevant teams, including scheduling watering, checking coverage and reporting faults for repair.

• Monitor horticultural maintenance tasks such as weeding, mulching, fertilisation and pest observation to maintain site presentation.

• Maintain accurate records of completed works, labour deployment, materials used and irrigation related issues for reporting.

• Brief crews on task method statements and safe working practices before starting work each day.

• Check workmanship quality against agreed standards, close snags quickly, and confirm areas are handed over cleanly.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in soft landscaping or landscape maintenance (planting, trees, shrubs, turf, pruning and general upkeep).

• Experience supervising landscaping teams onsite and organising daily labour allocation across multiple tasks.

• Hands-on experience coordinating irrigation activities with irrigation teams or technicians as part of landscape operations.

• Experience reading landscape drawings or planting schedules to plan weekly maintenance activities.

• Working knowledge of common irrigation components (valves, controllers, drip lines) to support fault reporting.

• Experience training new operatives in safe tool use and basic horticultural practices.

• Ability to produce simple reports on progress, issues and resource needs using Microsoft Office.
