Job summary

Six Senses Zighy Bay is seeking a Shift Technician (Buggy & Generator) for a full-time, on-site role in Oman. You will maintain and troubleshoot mechanical and electromechanical systems, support sustainability initiatives, and ensure quality and safety standards are met.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma with a mechanical engineering license and at least 1 year of related experience, along with fluent English communication.

Qualifications

• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
• Valid license to practice mechanical engineering.
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar setting.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates mechanical, electromechanical systems and products by designing and conducting research programs; applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer and materials.
• Develops mechanical and electromechanical products by studying customer requirements.
• Assures system and product quality by designing testing methods; tests finished product and system capabilities; confirms fabrication, assembly, and installation processes.
• Controls maintenance tools, stores and equipment and ensure there is continuous cover of the machinery and equipment in case of breakdowns.
• Ensure the efficient and economic operation of the Generators and Buggy Giving solutions to any engineer for any Engineering related issue Assist the engineering Manager with reporting and technical issues
• Ensure that the budget is adhered to and costs are strictly controlled.
• Supporting the sustainability department on how we are to be self-sustainable and Cost saving.
• Coordinate with engineering coordinator related with material order.
• Control and monitor consumption of materials and asset.
• Keeps record of assignments and produce detailed work reports.
• Maintains working area and makes sure that all working areas remain clean at all times.
• Uses personal safety wares for personal safety while on duty.
• Upkeep Six Senses guidelines and standards of service and operation.
• My performance benchmarks are maintained and exceeded.
• Strictly adhere to LQA standards and guest comments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and/or valid license to practice mechanical engineering and at least 1 year experience in a similar setting.


• Technical skills include the ability to analyze and design projects of limited complexity and scope.


• Knowledge in blueprint reading and installing of machines, wiring and equipment and basic mechanical skills are mandatory.


• I have an excellent command of written and spoken English, and I am able to live in a remote location for extended periods of time and travel on single status.
