Job summary

Masarpetroleum S.A.O.C is seeking a Senior Well Engineer in Oman to lead a multi-disciplined drilling, completions and work-over team. You will drive well planning, design, and execution across onshore assets, ensuring safety, cost control, and regulatory compliance.

The role requires 10+ years in E&P well engineering, IWCF Level 4, and strong English communication. You will mentor engineers, manage contracts, and push continuous improvement in drilling operations and hydraulics optimization.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in E&P well engineering with focus on planning, design, and construction.
• Regional exposure in Oman drilling and completions.
• IWCF Supervisor/Level 4Surface Stack certification.
• Deep drilling experience across onshore environments.
• Casing, tubing design, cement design and hydraulics optimization.
• Experience with Well Planning software and onshore operations.
• Contract management experience as Contract Holder or Deputy.
• Continuous improvement mindset and Agile ways of working.
• Excellent technical English communication.

Responsibilities

• Line management for Well Engineers reporting to this position.
• Mentor and develop well engineers within the operations team.
• Provide technical support to rig operations and supervisors.
• Embed DWOP/AAR/BPR concepts to drive learning and performance.
• Ensure real-time support to rig-site Drilling Supervisor on all drilling activities.
• Monitor costs and apply cost-effective techniques and equipment.
• Standardize drilling/CWI assemblies, hydraulics, and parameters; lead trials.
• Create technical reports and proactive lookaheads for personnel and equipment.
