Larsen & Toubro (L&T) is seeking a Welding Engineer to oversee welding procedures, qualification, and quality control across structural, piping, and equipment fabrication in Oman. The role involves planning, technical guidance to welders and supervisors, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Welding Engineering, or equivalent.
• CSWIP 3.1/3.2, AWS CWI, IWE, NACE certifications are desirable.
• ISO 9001 Internal Auditor (preferred).
• Experience with welding procedure specs (WPS) and quality control processes.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, review and approve Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
• Prepare welding execution plans and coordinate with Production Planning and QA/QC.
• Provide technical guidance to welders, supervisors and foremen.
• Ensure compliance with WPS and welding procedures; monitor weld quality and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate welder qualification tests and maintain qualification records.
• Support fabrication and modular fabrication activities (structural, piping, pressure vessels).
• Interface with clients, class societies and third-party inspectors for audits and reviews.
