Job summary
AtkinsRéalis is seeking an experienced Senior Urban and Real Estate Economist to join its Advisory team in the Middle East. The role covers urban and real estate economics, development planning and market analysis across regional strategies and major development programmes.
The candidate will work with multidisciplinary teams including planners, GIS specialists, engineers and financial advisors to translate forecasts into actionable development and investment insights.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Real Estate Economics, Urban Economics, Economic Geography, Regional Science, Urban Planning or related discipline.
- Master's degree in Urban Economics, Real Estate, Economics, Development Economics, Economic Geography, Urban Planning or related field preferred.
- Typically +8 years of relevant experience in urban or real estate economics or related advisory work.
Responsibilities
- Lead urban and real estate economics workstreams within multidisciplinary advisory assignments.
- Develop forecasting models and evidence bases for regional strategies and master plans.
- Translate forecasts into spatial requirements for housing, commercial, retail, hospitality and industrial developments.
- Assess relationships between economic activity, population, land use and infrastructure.
- Prepare socio-economic baselines, benchmarks and economic impact assessments.
- Support client engagement and contribute to business development efforts.
