Job summary

Maaden Gold and Base Metals (MGBM) is seeking a skilled professional to drive mineral and resource research, data analysis, and technical insight generation within Sustainability & Resource Growth. You will support R&D, data-driven decision-making, and process improvements across exploration, processing, and development workflows.

The role emphasizes governance, data management, and collaborative work with multidisciplinary teams to advance resource knowledge and innovation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geoscience, Mining Engineering, Metallurgy, Data Science, or a related discipline.
• Advanced degree (Master’s) is an advantage.
• 3–5 years of experience in mineral resource analysis, research, or mining/processing environments.
• Experience in data analysis, research support, and technical environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and analysis on mineral resources, geological/geophysical data, and processing characteristics (research support).
• Assist in evaluating mineral properties, material behavior, and resource potential.
• Analyze operational and research data to identify performance improvement opportunities.
• Contribute to data-driven decision-making across resource growth initiatives.
• Support R&D initiatives, including pilot testing and experimentation.
• Assist in development and testing of new methodologies, tools, and approaches for resource evaluation.
• Collaborate with geology, geophysics, mining, processing, and R&D teams to ensure integrated delivery of research outcomes.
• Support development of standard operating procedures, best practices, and knowledge transfer.

Job Purpose

Drive high-impact outcomes within Sustainability & Resource Growth by executing specialized technical and research activities related to mineral and resource knowledge. The role supports Maaden’s Technology & Innovation strategy through data analysis, research, and operational insights, contributing to improved resource understanding, process optimization, and innovation initiatives

Key Accountabilities

1. Mineral & Resource Research Activities

• Conduct research and analysis on mineral resources, geological/geophysical data, and processing characteristics.
• Support development and enhancement of resource knowledge frameworks and datasets.
• Assist in evaluating mineral properties, material behavior, and resource potential.

Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Competencies

Minimum Qualifications:
