Job summary

SGS is seeking an experienced Rotating Equipment Engineering leader for the OLNG growth project in Sur, Oman. The role ensures process safety, asset integrity and machinery reliability across all project phases, acting as the Technical Authority (TA-2) for rotating equipment.

Responsibilities include governance of EPC deliverables, vendor interfaces, and ensuring compliance with OLNG standards and lifecycle reliability goals. Frequent travel may be required while based in Sur.

Qualifications

• BSc in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Minimum 12 years in oil and gas, with 8–10+ years on large industrial/O&G LNG projects.
• 5+ years of leadership of multi-disciplinary rotating equipment teams; TA-2 level experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership, governance and independent assurance for rotating equipment across OLNG growth project.
• Act as Technical Authority (TA 2) for Rotating Equipment, governing EPC deliverables and vendors.
• Oversee design, integration, validation and operability of rotating equipment systems; ensure HSSE and OLNG standards compliance.
• Lead risk reviews, RAM targets, and QA/QC for rotating equipment; ensure as-built documentation and manuals are complete.
