Job summary

OQ is seeking a Process Engineer for Hydro-Processing to support optimization across HPU, DHT, and HCU units. You will identify opportunities, lead engineering reviews, and ensure projects meet performance targets through a rigorous design and simulation approach.

The role requires an engineering degree in Chemical Engineering, strong English skills, and a proven track record in refining and process safety. Expect cross-functional collaboration and mentorship responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Excellent English – written and spoken.
• 5 years of refining/process engineering experience.
• Extensive Hydro Processing (HPU, DHT, HCU) experience.
• Strong track record in process safety management (PSM).

Responsibilities

• Provides engineering support for optimization activities in Hydro Processing units (HPU, DHT, HCU).
• Identify optimization opportunities and implement engineering, maintenance and operating actions.
• Lead design reviews, develop heat and material balances, and support tender documents.
• Develop process simulations and optimization studies; mentor junior engineers.
• Lead HAZOP, PSSR and process safety reviews; provide technical leadership.
