Job summary

Gender in Oman seeks a Team Leader for Process Engineering, Controls & Safety in Sulfur/Utilities/Wastewater & Offsites and Logistics units at OQ8. The role reports to Head Process Engineering and leads a multidisciplinary team to optimize refinery processes and ensure safe, reliable operation.

Minimum qualifications include a Chemical Engineering degree and PE certification preferred, with 10+ years in Oil & Gas; strong English; experience with HAZOP, process simulation tools, and energy

Qualifications

• Engineering degree (Chemical) or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred.
• 10+ years in Oil & Gas / Refinery / Petrochemical industries.
• Experience with Sulfur/Utilities/Wastewater, Offsites and Logistics units.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise Sulfur/Amines, Utilities, Wastewater, Offsites and Logistics operations to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient performance.
• Drive process optimization to improve reliability, throughput, and stability.
• Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, Inspection, and technical teams to minimize downtime and losses.
• Provide technical direction and endorse major studies, design modifications, and optimization proposals.
• Lead energy management and utility optimization initiatives and monitor key energy KPIs.
