Job summary

JOB DESCRIPTION

Wood is recruiting for a Senior Planning Engineer to join our team in Musandam, Oman to lead consolidated plan initiatives and support the delivering of planned production & profitability across the SRF by optimizing planning by working alongside with the Project team to deliver the optimum project plan for the SFR project. Assignment duration is one year.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Reflecting the market focus for the office in both brownfield and green field opportunities, multi-skilled personnel are sought, in particular those with experience in:

Typical responsibilities
  • The complete planning and reporting cycle from Engineering through Procurement and Construction & Commissioning
  • Check the congruence and applicability of the schedule with contractual requirements, develop the execution version and prepare the project control planning procedure.
  • Prepare periodic project progress reporting, update and develop the various schedule revisions during the project life cycle, pointing out any deviations or criticalities.
  • Interface with subcontractors by coordinating feedback with reference to the method for preparing the schedule preparation.
  • Process the schedule risk analysis by sharing inputs and outputs with Management.
  • Interface milestones with 3rd parties, availability of materials/equipment and IFC drawings in compliance with the planned activities.
  • Subcontractors manpower, each event that could represent a constraint during construction activities.
  • Manage critical events with construction daily meetings in order to evaluate impact on schedule and mitigation actions to put in place.
  • Relations with all the departments of engineering, with procurement, construction and commissioning departments.
  • Relations with project management in order to promptly know new strategy or other important actions that could have impact on schedule.
  • Daily/weekly relations with the other department managers in order to obtain and then give them all the necessary information to keep update the schedule and the other planning documents.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum qualification for this position is a Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Have an overall +15 experiences in process engineering with senior capacity roles.
  • Complete planning and reporting cycle from Engineering through Procurement and Construction & Commissioning
  • English Language strong communication, verbal and written skills.
