Job summary

Wood is recruiting a Senior Piping Engineer to join its Projects team in Muscat, Oman, for a one-year assignment. The role focuses on FEED and Detail design scopes for Mechanical and Piping engineering at the NGLE Project, supporting engineering activities across the EPC lifecycle in Oil and Gas.

The position offers exposure to brownfield and greenfield oil and gas projects with a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits. Office in Muscat with international project exposure.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in a relevant position.
• Engineering degree in mechanical with relevant certification.
• Experience in refinery and petrochemical projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Apply Mechanical Engineering piping practices, standards, and design codes in similar project.
• Piping Engineering experience in downstream based petrochemical industry.
• Piping Engineering design experience into different project phases (FEED and EPC).
• Challenge the project design assumptions and strive to bring more value to the project (value engineering).
• Provide innovative solutions to overcome project challenges including cost and schedule while maintaining design conformance.
